Frozen Blueberries: An Icy Delight

Just a short little blurb from me tonight about one of my favorite sundae toppings: frozen blueberries.

Cold and nutritious.

This afternoon, I opened the fridge to find some blueberries remaining in the carton from the doughnuts I made last week. I clearly needed to use them up, so I washed and drained them and stuck them in a container to freeze for several hours.

I topped a small bowl of vanilla ice cream with the frozen blueberries and took a big spoonful of my creation. The frozen blueberries are icy and will sort of “burst” when you bite into them.

What a refreshing summer treat!
