Well, I MADE IT! A year ago today, I launched Ma Petite Maison Verte with no real expectations, hoping that blogging might be a fun way to channel my love of writing and all things home. I had no idea that my decision to blog daily for an entire year would have such an impact on my life. I have sincerely enjoyed sharing experiences, recipes, tips, and crafts with my readers over the last 365 days.
I am delighted to have 60 followers of the blog as of today and 15,724 views as of the writing of this post! I thought it might be interesting to share a few statistics and a photo collage that I created using a great website called ShapeCollage.com. I didn’t include any of the grainy photos from the early months before I bought a digital camera — visit the archives for those!!
And now, for a few fun blog stats:
My most popular posts of all-time are: Apple Ramekin Mini Pies, Great Kitchen Tools: The Spider Skimmer, and Cake Pop Disaster. Another post that is in the top ten or so that seems to get a lot of views is Homemade Yarn Bows. I have been pleasantly surprised by all the messages I have received from bakers who have had a bit of trouble making cake pops too!
As you readers may know, I will be cutting back on my posting a bit after today. I intend to post on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with an occasional weekend post thrown in. I know that not blogging tomorrow will be an adjustment for me, because blogging has become a part of my daily routine. I am also removing the post-a-day buttons from my home page, since I have reached my goal.
I would like to say a big “thank you” to all of my supporters, subscribers, and commenters. I read each and every comment and rejoice in every “like” I receive. I am very grateful to everyone who has visited my little piece of cyberspace so far — now onto another wonderful year!
