This craft project is reminiscent of a cooking mitt, pot holder, or a glove.
I used a wooden, Scandinavian ornament leftover from the Christmas season to mimic a pot holder and painted it red. I adorned it with a stamped heart, a wooden shape, and the words “Kiss the Cook.” A magnet could be attached to the back to make these refrigerator-worthy… just remove the twine.
Don’t have a wooden shape or ornament like this one?
Cut two identical glove shapes from colored felt. Sew or glue the glove shapes together to form a “mitt.” The fabric mitt can be filled with candies or small gifts for the intended recipient. If you want to hang it up, sew on a loop made of ribbon or glue a magnet to use it on metal surfaces.
