Exotic Ice Cream Inspiration
Today I ate at a Persian restaurant that featured homemade, exotic ice creams on its dessert menu, like akhbar mashty, also known as “akbar mashti” (a combination of pistachios, rose water, and saffron), date ice cream, coconut peach ice cream, and fresh fig ice cream.
The flavors were amazing and definitely inspirational:
I am resolved to make some of this ice cream on my own and try to recreate the rich, yellow deliciousness of akhbar mashty in my kitchen. Has anyone ever tried this tasty combo? Let me know!
